Greek Revival

Making a grand statement, Greek Revival architecture is defined by a grand entry porch with columns. The front door is usually embellished with sidelights and a transom. Intricate carving and ornate railings and spindles are customary.
Many notable buildings in Washington, DC followed the Greek Revival style, including the Washington Monument and the United States Capitol.
