The Walnut Grove Institute is intended to encourage and promote the visual, literary and performing arts, the future conservation of our community and surrounding environment, as well as historical preservation through interactive educational and community events within Walnut Grove.
The Walnut Grove Institute will support research and create opportunities of educational experiences from the natural environment that exists outside our homes, thus creating an outdoor classroom where learning is interactive and lasts a lifetime. The owners themselves will take initiatives to facilitate the continuation of the community through active participation in the Walnut Grove Institute while collaborating with other charitable organizations to pursue common causes. The Walnut Grove Institute plans to invite the visual, performing, literary,
and culinary arts from the surrounding area to get involved through demonstrations, performances, and presentations. Professionals, hobbyists, and experts will give presentations, demonstrations, lectures, and put up informational displays for the enjoyment and education of the community at large. State historians can give archeological and pre-development historical background about our community.
The Walnut Grove Institute will strive to build a community that is strengthened through their involvement and personal interest in the protection of our resources, working together, gathering together.
